ELFIT TRAIL RUN RESULTS

ABOUT THE EVENT:

ELFIT TRAIL RUN is an event organized by In The Zone Sports, it is an exclusive event for ELFIT community. The event’s aim is to gather ELFIT community and break the routine of the usual training days. ELFIT TRAIL RUN is our only event where all our athletes and organizers from different disciplines can join together at the same event!

Run with a view, a purpose, and an added challenge. Our objective is to hold the trail run twice a year, before the opens in February and before ELFIT Mega Festival in November of each year

 

 

DESTINATION – WADI DEGLA PROTECTORATE:

If you have never been to Wadi Degla Protectorate, it is one of the most important Egyptian attractions, it has valleys that extend from east to west and rises in the mountains of the eastern desert. The Wadi runs through limestone terrain which then cuts into a deep winding canyon and a few places you can see the floodwater which has carved the rocks into spectacular 

 

EVENT DETAILS:

  • The event will be held on Friday 3rd February at Wadi Degla protectorate (Location Here).
  • Our community will have the chance to choose one of the following:
  • 5K Race – Individual only   
  • 5K Community Run
  • 2K Family Run
  • The event will start at 8:00 am, below is the detailed timeline:
  • 7:00 am – 7:45 am: Event Check in
  • 8:00 am: Event Starts (5K Race, 5K Community Run, 2K Family Run)
  • The start/finish line is location right after the protectorate entrance, 
  • This is a self supported event, Medical care will be available at the 1KM & 2.5KM points as well as the start/finish line.
  • Toilets are available at the entrance of the protectorate (Start & Finish Line)
  • there will be no baggage claim at the event, please make sure to keep your belongings in your car
  • Parking will be available at the the entrance of the Protectorate (we highly encourage carpooling)

 

REGISTRATION DETAILS

    • 5K Race: 600 EGP
    • 5K Community Run:  600 EGP
    • 2K Family Run: 600 EGP
    • Capacity: 5K race will have a maximum capacity of 100 spots total (Men/Women)
    • Policy: Registration is on a first come first serve base,
    • Deadline: Registration Opens on Saturday 7 Jan. and will close on Sunday 29 Jan. or upon reaching full capacity
    • Registration Benefits:

    • 5K Race Prizes: Top 3 men and top 3 women will receive winner medals as well the vouchers from our partners:
    • First Place: 2,000 EGP worth of Vouchers
    • Second Place: 1,000 EGP worth of Vouchers
    • Third Place: 500 EGP worth of Vouchers
