How can I register?

Can I compete without having a profile on ELFIT website?

Yes you can; However, it is recommended to sign up to stay updated with all the information for the competition.

I signed up, does that mean my registration is now complete?

No, signing up means that ELFIT has all your basic data to stay updated with all the information for the competition.

I signed up, what’s next? How do I register?

To complete your registration after signing up, you have to register and select which division and category you are willing to compete in as well as paying all the fees in time, the only guarantee for your registration to be complete is upon paying the fees.

How can I pay the registration fees?

This year All Fees will be through Online Payment.
While you are registering, the Fees will be processed by the end of the registration.

What are the Scaled Division registration fees & Benefits?

Individuals:
Egyptians: 250 EGP
Non Egyptians: 25 USD
Teams:
Egyptians: 750 EGP
Non Egyptians: 75 USD

Can I register and participate in different divisions/categories?

Yes you can participate; however, if you qualified to the finals in both categories we cannot ensure that it might be running at the same time.

Do I need to be a professional athlete to join ELFIT?

Anyone can compete at ELFIT Fitness competition.
This year we have 3 Divisions with total of 11 categories, the Elite division (advanced athletes) & the Scaled division (Intermediate & Beginners)

Elite Division

How many categories are available at the Elite division?

Individual Males/Females (born in 2000 or before)
Masters Males 35+ (Born in 1980 or before)
Mixed Teams (2 males + 1 female born in 2000 or before)

What is Individuals & Teams qualifiers format?

All Elite individual athletes will have to go through 4 qualifier workouts to reach the finals. The 4 qualifier workouts will be released in September from the 1st till 8th, 2016
All Elite Teams will have to go through 3 online qualifier workouts to reach the finals, the 3 qualifier workouts will be released on the 23rd of August 2016.

How and where can an athlete or a team perform the qualifiers workouts?

Only Individual athletes residing in the Middle East in Egypt, UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar & Lebanon will have to do their qualifier workouts at our partner facilities in each country.

Teams must submit the 3 workouts score online before the announced deadline.

Where and when is the final being held?

The final event will be held in Cairo, Egypt at Palm Hills Club, 6th of October.
The Elite finals will be running from Thursday the 20th to Saturday the 22nd of October 2016.

Can I Judge & Compete at the qualifiers?

Yes, as long as you meet the following criteria:
You must hold a CF L1 certificate to be a judge and a CF L1 holder is judging you in all qualifiers workouts

Can I/we perform the workout multiple times and submit multiple scores if my score improves?

No you can’t submit multiple scores, you can only submit the workouts scores once, so you can perform each workout as many times as you want and submit the best score your best score in each workout before the announced deadline.

Can an Athlete or a team do all the workouts in ONE day?

Yes you can, as long as you submit the Video and scores before the announced deadline.

Can I play in more than 1 team? (Teams Qualifiers)

Yes you can participate with as many teams as you want; however, you’ll have to pick only 1 team to represent in case more than a team you represent qualified to the finals

Are we allowed to have substitutes in the teams’ competition? (Elite Teams)

During the qualifications Workouts, Teams will NOT be allowed alternates. There will be only Three (3) members on a team. At the finals, Teams will be allowed to have 2 substitutes (1 male / 1 female)

Can I change any of the team members during the online qualifiers (i.e if one the team members got injured) (Elite Teams)

Yes you can replace the partner however you will need to do the following:
Step 1: Send us an email to register@Elfiteg.com with a request to replace athletes.
Step 2: make sure that the new team member participated in the 3 qualifier workouts as the team must perform the 3 workouts together at the same time and place
Step 3: Make sure to submit the score before the deadline announced, once the deadline has passed athletes/teams will not be able to adjust or re-submit any score for that competition.

What if a team member got injured or dropped out during the online qualifiers and we couldn’t replace him/her with any other athlete? (Elite Teams Qualifiers)

In case an athlete got injured or dropped out after for any reason, another athlete may not perform the intended work for the missing athlete. The Team may record a score up to the point in the workout where the missing athlete would be required to participate. For example, in an AMRAP where the required order calls for male 1, female 1, male 2, and If male 2 is injured and cannot compete, once male 1 and female 1 complete their prescribed workload, the team cannot record any further reps because male 2 cannot complete their prescribed workload. The team can only record the reps completed by male 1 and female.

Do all team members have to be from the same Facility or country? (Teams Qualifiers)

No, Teams may include members from different gyms and different geographical regions, and there is no requirement for how long the athletes have trained together. However, they have to perform the qualifiers all together at the same time/place.

How many will qualify to the finals?

What is a wild card?

A wild card is an invitation to some athletes and teams selected/chosen by ELFIT Team to compete directly in the finals event.

How would I know if I have qualified to the finals or not?

The elite teams’ online qualifiers leaderboard will be officially announced on 17-Sep-16
The elite individuals’ leaderboard will be officially announced on 03-Oct-16

I qualified to the finals, whats next?

Elite Division Qualified athletes/Teams will receive an official invitation to the finals via email. Athletes/Teams will have 48 hours to accept their invitation and re-register for the final event, if the athlete or team didn’t confirm by registering for the finals within 48 hours from receiving the finals invitation; their spot will be given to the next athlete/team in the ranking list. They will also have 48 hours to accept and register before contacting the next athlete. This process will continue until each category capacity is reached.

I qualified to the finals, do I have to stay in a specific hotel?

Athletes/teams are free to stay at any place/hotel they want, however we highly recommend that all athletes/teams stay at the official hotel partner since we will provide free of charge transportation to/from the competition venue.

I qualified to the finals, do I need to re-register and pay registration fees?

All Elite teams/athletes qualified to the finals will be requested to re-register for the finals and pay the finals registration fees.
Individuals:
Athletes Residing in Egypt 500 EGP
Athletes not residing in Egypt 50 USD
Teams:
Teams Residing in Egypt 3,000 EGP
Teams not residing in Egypt 300 USD

Online Submission

When is the deadline to submit the teams’ qualifiers workouts?

Deadline to submit the 3 online qualifier workouts score is Wednesday the 6th of September 2016 at 23:59 GMT, once the deadline has passed athletes will not be able to adjust or re-submit any score for that competition.

What if I miss the deadline for the score and video submission? (Scores online submission)

Once the deadline has passed teams will not be able to adjust or re-submit any score for that competition.

How do I submit my score?

We will announce very soon the steps to submit your score online, stay tuned.

Is there a specific guideline for the online video submission?

To submit your score successfully, teams must performing all workouts under the observation of a CrossFit Level 1 trainer AND submit a valid video link with their score submission.
All submission videos must clearly show the athlete’s Judge throughout the workout. Videos submitted without a Judge will be invalid.
Videos must be uploaded on a public platform (i.e. Youtube), athletes will be asked to provide the link to the video when needed.

How will my score be validated?

Score validation for any online video submission is the sole right of ELFIT Judging team, the video and score will be reviewed and validated by ELFIT staff. As part of this video review process, the athlete’s posted score may be accepted, modified or invalidated without warning and after the close of the competition.

Can I dispute my score?

Athletes with scores that have been altered after review from ELFIT Staff will be contacted via email with details regarding this alteration.
The decision made by ELFIT Staff is final and no further alterations will be made once the final Leaderboard has been published.

I’m having some technical difficulties with the Video/Scoring submission

Any athlete/team that feels that their video submission may be delayed due to issues with uploading videos should send an email to support@elfiteg.com notifying ELFIT team of these difficulties. ELFIT team must receive this email notification PRIOR to the category submission deadline announced. Once the category announced deadline closes athletes/teams will not be able to adjust or resubmit any score for that competition.

Scaled

How many categories are available in the scaled division?

Masters Females 35+ (Born in 1981 or before)
Masters Males 45+ (Born in 1970 or before)
Males/Females 16+ (Born in 2000 or before)
Teenage boys/girls 14-16 (Born between 20 Oct. 2000 and 22 Oct. 2003)
Mixed Teams 16+ (2 males / 1 female)

What is Individuals & Teams qualifiers format?

All scaled division categories qualifications will be on Friday the 21st of October in Cairo, Egypt.
The top athletes/teams from each category on the leaderboard will qualify to the final workout/s on Saturday, October the 22nd.
Day 1 workouts will be released on 20 September 2016

When will the registration close?

Registration will be first come first serve.
Registration will open in 1 August 2016.
Registration will close 23 September 2016 or until each category capacity is reached.

Where and when is the Event?

The final event will be held in Cairo, Egypt at Palm Hills Club, 6th of October.
The scaled competition will be running on Friday & Saturday the 21st & 22nd of October 2016.

Can I play in more than 1 team?

No, you can’t.

Volunteers & Judges

What are the prerequisites to be accepted as volunteer organizer?

Priority spots are usually given to those who have volunteered with us before and for applicants with previous experience, however all applicants must:
-Commit to at least 2 days and be available at the event venue October from 7 AM to 7 PM.
-Be available and attend the briefing meeting to review your job role with a team leader.
-Provide us with a valid email address and Mobile # for all communication

What are the prerequisites to be accepted as a judge?

Priority spots are usually given to those who have volunteered with us before and for applicants with previous experience, however all applicants must:
-Hold CF L1 certificate or previous experience in judging competitions.
-Attend judges’ briefings and meetings on Wednesday the 19th and Thursday the 20th of October.
-Commit to at least 2 days and be available at the event venue October from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Does ELFIT cover volunteers travelling/stay expenses?

No, ELFIT does not cover any travelling or stay expenses.

What do the volunteers get/gain form the event?

Aside from gaining a lot of experience and fun, you will also get the following:
-A T-shirt on each day you volunteer
-Volunteers Sponsors gift kit
-An Organizer ID that allows you to access the 3 days event
-Free food and drinks throughout the event
-1 Free Fest. Invitation

Who do we have to report to?

This point will be discussed in briefly on the volunteers meeting which will be sent out to all confirmed volunteers to provide more details about teams assignment and team leaders.

Do I have to be available all days?

No it is not a must, however you must commit to at least 2 days.
