Bigger? Tougher? These words briefly describe what’s going to happen at ELFIT in its brand new season in 2017! ELFIT17 is a whole new milestone for us where we’ve decided to take the competition to a complete new level. The competition finals will be on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October, 2017 at Palm Hills Club, Giza, Egypt.
ELFIT Reebok is an international fitness event happening in Egypt, with almost 400 athletes from more than 23 nationalities joining the competition last year, this year we’re targeting even more athletes from all around the globe. Our mission is to spread our message for good health, fitness and sportsmanship.
Fitness enthusiasts gather from all over the world for this annual event, the competition is only part of the attraction; the event has an amazing spirit and awesome vibes that you wouldn’t find in many fitness events.
People come to support their friends or family to cheer them on, and end up cheering on for people they’ve never even met. You’ll find that the one who finishes last gets the most cheers and motivation from everyone in the crowd. Goosebumps are a usual occurrence at ELFIT, where there’s a different story in every single heat.

Categories & Divisions
Athletes come to test their fitness in all its aspects, as we have 3 different divisions (Elite, Intermediate and Scaled) and 11 different categories. The elite division is for the advanced athletes who train functional fitness and CrossFit, know its movements well, and are comfortable with its high intensity and high load workouts. The scaled division is for beginners and intermediate athletes where speed, engine and agility is always being tested.
The third division that we’ve just introduced this year is the Intermediate category, which is a mix between elite and scaled factors, where there is weightlifting and some gymnastics movements from the elite division, but not too much of high load or high intensity workouts.
The following is our divisions and categories whom will be competing in the finals:
- Elite Division:
Males & Females 16+
Masters Males & Females 35+
Mixed Teams 2M – 1F (+ 1M & 1F alternates)
- Scaled Division
Males & Females 16+
Teenage Boys & Girls 16+
Mixed Teams 2M – 1F
- Intermediate Division
Intermediate Males 40+
- Athletes can choose whether they want to compete as individuals and/or teams within 3 different divisions: Elite, Intermediate & Scaled, in 11 different categories.
- All categories will go straight to finals on the 12th, 13th & 14th of October.
- Only Elite Individuals (M & F) 16+ will have to go through an online qualifier (over 2 weekends) starting the 26th of July, ending on the 7th of August.
The finals will be happening on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October 2017 at Palm Hills Club. Registration this year is going to be all through WODCast; they’ll be handling everything to do with registration, online qualifiers score submission, scoring and leaderboard.
Registration has opened on the 1st of June and since then we’ve been getting registrations from all over the world.
Deadline for registration:
- Elite Individuals Males/Females 16+ is with the submission of the first workout on the 31st of July.
- The rest of the categories have until the 1st of September 2017 OR until reaching maximum capacity in each category.
Since our busiest category is the Elite Individuals Males/Females 16+, they’ll have to go through an online qualifier which will comprise of 3 workouts over 2 weekends, starting the 26 of July, ending 2nd August. All score submissions and scoring will be through WODCast.
All of the other categories will go straight to the finals weekend.
Elite category will compete on the 12th, 13th and 14th of October, 2017, while scaled and intermediate will compete on the 13th and 14th of October.

Online qualifiers Leaderboard
The elite males/females online qualifiers leaderboard will be announced on the 12th of August, 2017 and the top 45 males and top 45 females will be taken from the overall leaderboard.
